Located in Pattaya district, Pratumnak hill is undoubtedly one of the hidden gems in Pattaya. Surrounded by paddy fields, this hill is home to many people who have been living on it for generations. You can spot many old brick houses that date back to the early 1900s on this hill and there are also some historic temples and pagodas within its boundaries as well, so let’s explore what this quiet little village has to offer!

What Is Pratumnak Hill In Pattaya

Pattaya Hill, also known as Pratumnak Hill, is a hill located in the southern part of the city of Pattaya, Thailand. Located along Pattaya’s southern border, the hill is approximately 5 kilometers from the city center, on the way to Naklua Beach.

Chinese Temple – There is a strong Chinese flavour to the neighbourhood with a focus on Confucianism and Taoism. A massive golden Chinese statue occupies centre stage on a throne in one of the larger rooms and inside you’ll also find a garden and quiet pond amongst other drawings and Chinese artwork, including various statues and exhibitions.

Enjoy The Scenic Views Of Pratumnak – The best views of Pratumnak are from the top of the hill where you can enjoy the panoramic views of Pattaya city in all directions and the sea below which is especially nice at sunrise and sunset.

Explore The Old Town Of Pratumnak – A small town located south of the hill was once a trading center where local people bartered their agricultural produce. Today, the old town remains a charming place to explore and shop.

Visit The Hidden Temple At Pratumnak – Also known as Pratumnak Temple, this temple is a hidden gem on Pratumnak Hill and located within the bamboo forest on the hill. The temple is best seen at dusk when the setting sun paints the temple in a colourful light.

The Fish Market At Naklua – Located about 10 kilometers from Pratumnak Hill is Naklua, a riverfront town where you can visit the famous fish market and enjoy some local seafood. The market here sells everything from fresh seafood to local produce and all at a great price and caught in the surrounding waters.
