Areas like Pratumnak, Jomtien, Naklua and Wong Amat are excellent options for families because there are numerous places to visit and lots of things to do. The safety aspect in all of these locations is in my opinion, they’re very safe especially for children.
Pattaya is a family-friendly destination with many activities for kids of all ages like going to the movies, visiting Ripley’s Believe It or Not, taking a baht bus, going on a boat ride or just playing on any of the numerous beaches.
Where Is Naklua Beach And Is It Worth Visiting
Naklua Beach is conveniently located near the action of Pattaya City while maintaining a peaceful and safe atmosphere and was historically a popular fishing spot where the locals made a living off fishing and salt farming. Many hundreds of thousands of visitors come to Naklua each year to get away from the madness of Central Pattaya and to relax on the beach while taking in the view out to sea that gives it its unique character.
With Naklua Beach being to the north of Pattaya Beach, it doesn’t get anywhere near as busy as Central Pattaya along Beach Road so for that reason alone, makes it a much safer place as there are a lot less people and especially tourists.
The beach front and coastal road heading towards Naklua is lined with hotels and resorts to cater for people from all walks of life and financial means but the further north you go in the direction of The Sanctuary Of Truth temple, you will definitely notice a distinct difference in the amount of people and traffic as it gets less and less the further you are away from Pattaya Beach.
Two or three small beach bars can be found along Naklua Beach and there are plenty of pleasant tiny covered spots along the beach as well as well as two popular areas of sand that are separated by a rocky outcrop, both of which are frequented by people looking to relax and take a dip in the sea.
The most crowded section of Naklua Beach is the northernmost part where the water quality is higher than at nearby Pattaya Beach, despite their fairly close proximity. Naklua Beach in fact connects with Wongamat Beach and to the south, a promontory divides it from Pattaya Beach.
How To Get To Naklua Beach From Central Pattaya
Naklua Beach is about 2.5km from Central Pattaya and can be reached via car, taxi, baht bus or on foot from Central Pattaya. The walk is around 30 minutes depending on your fitness level and which route you take whereas the journey by car or taxi only takes about 5 minutes depending on traffic.
You can also catch a Baht bus which only costs 10 Baht to go anywhere in Pattaya and that can get you to Naklua Beach in around 15 minutes depending on the amount of stops it makes en route.
Is Naklua In Pattaya A Nice Place To Live
Within Pattaya is a northern suburb known as Naklua, a well-known destination for tourists due to the stunning beaches that are located there. The specific tastes and priorities of an individual will determine whether or not they find Naklua to be an appealing place to reside.
To the north lies the neighbourhood of Wong Amat, and to the south is Bang Lamung. These neighbourhoods form its borders. Public transportation, such as buses and taxis, makes it simple to reach this neighbourhood from anywhere else in Pattaya in a short amount of time.
Some people may find that living in a tourist area with access to the beach and a range of services is more appealing than a setting that is more quiet and tranquil, while others may find that the opposite is true.
Before settling on a location to call home, it is prudent to conduct research and give careful consideration to a variety of aspects, including the cost of living, level of safety, proximity to conveniences and transportation, as well as the community and culture of the area.
Are There Many Restaurants In Naklua
There are a wide variety of restaurants in the neighbourhood, serving everything from regional fare to cuisines from all over the world including Chinese, Indian and Western to cater for all kinds of palates and fussy eaters as well as the obvious myriad of Thai and South East Asian delicacies so you’ll never go hungry while in Naklua.
Day and night markets are also a typical feature in many of Thailand’s cities and villages and they are frequently a wonderful place to purchase a variety of locally produced items including all kinds of foods and mementos to take home with you. Naklua and Pattaya have many markets every day of the week so check out whichever area of Pattaya you’re staying in to find the best ones and their opening times.
Be warned though, they do get very busy especially in high season between November and March when the weather is at it’s best.
