In addition to lazing on one of the numerous available lounge chairs, watersports such as jet skiing, parasailing and windsurfing are also available. The Underwater World aquarium is a fantastic place to take kids if you want to teach them about marine life while on vacation.
2. Have Fun Until You Pass Out
Closed to traffic at night, Walking Street is lined with bars, clubs, and other nightlife establishments. Many bars and clubs in the central district of Pattaya are open 24 hours a day, so there’s no excuse not to spend at least one night there partying till the wee hours.
3. Culture and the Past
One such monument in Pattaya is the elegant Sanctuary of Truth, which was built completely of wood without the use of any metal nails. The Buddhist temple of Khao Phra Tamnak is famous for its enormous golden Buddha statue.
4. Shopping
You can find anything you want, from dirt cheap deals to luxury brands, in any of the many shopping centers, outdoor markets, sidewalk booths, and even a bazaar. There’s something for everyone, from the Royal Garden Plaza to the charming Pattaya Floating Market (a collection of boats on the lagoon where you may get cheap clothes, jewelry, and other handicrafts).
5. What’s Cooking
When it comes to cuisine, you can choose from a wide variety of Middle Eastern, Indian, and, of course, Thai options. Many restaurants that serve food popular in Western and European countries have opened up in response to the swell in tourist numbers.
