4 Of Pattaya’s Best Days Out

Wat Yan (Wat Yansangwararam)

From the coastal city, an amazing day journey brings you to this significant temple in Thai culture. There are beautiful lakes and gardens all around the traditional Thai architecture, making for a perfect place to spend a relaxing day. Khao Cheejan, also known as “Buddha Mountain,” is only a short five kilometers away.

A gigantic, laser-carved Buddha, gold-plated and shimmering in the light, stands out against the more traditional temple in this modern rock face.

The Sanctuary Of Truth

Millionaire Khun Lek Viriyaphant began this continuous art project in 1981 with the goal of maintaining Thai traditions and culture in an increasingly globalized society. The wooden Sanctuary rests tranquilly on the water’s edge, its ornate sculptures paying tribute to the civilizations of the area.

Every inch of the structure has gods and goddesses engraved onto it, encouraging contemplation and enlightenment.

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden

There is something for everyone in this stunning escape from the bustle of the city, from relaxing gardens to thrilling zoo displays. Families come from all around to enjoy the exotic and tropical plants and animals that are on display here.

While the Elephant act at Nongnooch Theater is a must-see for all guests, children especially enjoy Butterfly Hill. The on-site eateries are picture-perfect, with a natural setting and pleasant ambiance.

Mini Siam

In less than three hours, visitors to Mini Siam can see all seven of the world’s wonders. All across this magnificent sculpture park are miniature versions of well-known buildings from all over the world.

Tourists of all ages can travel from Europe to the Americas and back to Southeast Asia to see the wonder of these man-made works of art.
